On September 7th, 2014, YEDID held its first annual fundraising gala event. The evening was dedicated to YEDID’s groundbreaking executive director, Sari Revkin, and celebrated her receipt of the 2014 Rappaport Prize for the Change-Generating Woman. At the event, Finance Minister Yair Lapid spoke, asserting “In the last decade poverty has been overlooked and neglected in Israel. We are unwilling to ignore this critical problem and to continue sweeping it under the carpet. We cannot fix the mistakes of past decades in a day, but we are making progress.”
