sari
 Sari Revkin, Executive Director: Sari holds an MSW from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work in the area of social strategy.  In 1983 she made aliyah and after one year founded SHATIL.  In 1997 Sari established YEDID.  Sari and YEDID under her leadership, have won numerous awards. Most recently, in December 2008 Sari won the Schwab Foundation Award for Social Entrepreneurship and in the same year YEDID was awarded the Medal of the President of Israel for Volunteerism.  Sari has been a delegate at the World Economic Forum in Davos and is a sought after expert on social issues, including women's economic empowerment, access to social justice, community development, and immigrant absorption in Israeli society.

Ran Melamed, Deputy Director for Communication and Social Policy: Ran has garnered widespread respect for his work in public policy advocacy, grassroots lobbying and campaign development with a wide range of communities and organizations.  He is responsible for the almost daily media attention that YEDID receives in a variety of media outlets.  Before coming to YEDID, Ran held positions as Deputy Director of the Association for the Preservation of Historic Sites in Israel, spokesman for the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Energy. Ran also has extensive experience as a guest journalist in major newspapers and television programs.

Yuval Elbashan, Deputy Director for Citizen Rights Centers: Yuval holds a master’s of law degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and also works as a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Law there.  He is the founder and past director of The Center for Clinical Legal Education for Human Rights and Social Responsibility of Hebrew University’s Faculty of Law and the founder of the Human Rights Division at the Ramat Gan Academic College of Law.  Yuval has published a novel and a children's book and is a regular columnist in Israel's daily Ma'ariv newspaper.

vardit
Vardit Dameri Madar, Legal Department Director: Vardit received her B.A. in Law and Political Science and M.A. in Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  Vardit joined YEDID’s staff as a regional lawyer in 2003 and became Director of the department in 2008. Vardit is the 2009 recipient of Hadassah Foundation’s inaugural Bernice Tannenbaum Prize for an Emerging Leader in the Field of Social Change.  In addition, Vardit teaches a course in Legal Aid for Residents in Israel's Periphery at the Hebrew University's Center for Clinical Legal Education.

Ruthy Katanov, National Director of Projects: Ruthy holds a B.A and M.A. in Social Work with an emphasis on community work and administration from Hebrew University.  She also holds a teaching certificate from Bar Ilan University and she has a wealth of experience designing and implementing community projects for diverse populations.  Before coming to YEDID in 2001 she was a teacher trainer through Akim, an NGO specializing in the special education needs of the mentally challenged, and also worked in the disability services unit of the Or Yehuda Social Service Department.

revital
Revital Shimron, CPA, YEDID Finance Director: Revital received her BA in accounting and economics from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  Before joining the YEDID staff in 2005, she worked in numerous non-profit organizations, including the Menachem Begin Heritage Center, Ohel Meir (for children removed from their homes), and a battered women's shelter in Jerusalem.  Revital is also a graduate of the Hartman Institute Leadership forum.
